ANNUAL GAMES VS QUEENSLAND

RESULTS FAVOUR NSWJRU!!

NSWJRU scored a clean sweep in the games against QldJRU on Saturday at Pittwater Rugby Park.

The NSWJRU 15s ran out winners 17 to 8 in an entertaining, high standard game. NSWJRU retained the Jason Little Shield which they won in 2010 at Ballymore.

The inaugural game in the 16s age group saw NSWJRU 18 defeat QldJRU 5. This was an amazing effort as all the NSW players had spent the week at the ARU Nationals in either the SJRU, NSW Schools or Country team.

The 17s was a very tight game until NSWJRU eventually pulled away to win the Chris Latham Shield 23 to 14. This team played a solid game and kept up the effort for the full match.

Results:

15s.... NSWJRU 17 QldJRU 8

16s.... NSWJRU 18 QldJRU 5

   17s.... NSWJRU 23 QldJRU 14.

Congratulations to all the players and particularly to the coaching and managerial teams:

15s: Bill Bell, Ian Westwood and Laurie McMartin

16s: Andy Webber and Michael Kelynack

17s: Ian Rae, Andrew Blades, David Willan and Andrew Wilson.
